Some photos of a group of cheetah getting some love

Petting cheetah moments…

Donation Wish List

We often get asked by visitors & sponsors alike what types of donations we could make use of, so we have compiled a short list of things that we would really utilize at the moment with regards to the animals:

  • BIG plastic kennels for big cats, to keep them out of the elements.
  • Enrichment toys especially heavy duty"boomer" balls &  natural fiber ropes/twine for making cat's toys.
  • Building materials: wooden poles, screws & nails, paints, wood for platforms.
  • Logs, branches for climbing. (Must be thick & solid)
  • Spices (all spices except chilli/hotlike spice) & essential oils (vanilla, mint, chamomile, strawberry, eucalyptus, any natural flavors)  & essences, petroleum jelly. Herbs e.g: catnip even the plants or seeds we can plant directly into  enclosures for a sensory experience for the animals (birds included).
  • Wet wipes/baby wipes & bottle brushes & a kettle for the kittens.
  • We would like to ask that if anyone has carpets from a house that they are renovating that they would like to get rid of: we would love them for enrichment projects with the animals.
  • Plastic barrels are also very welcome. e.g. the big 20/25lt plastic containers that cooking oils is sold in, we use this for the big cats as toys. Restaurant or supermarket owners could assist us in this if possible.
  • Rakes, spade, mops, brooms, buckets, clothes, spray bottles & squeegees for windows
  • Heavy duty water troughs for cats, that are not easily knocked over.
  • Parrot toys for the tea garden birds. Kitten/puppy toys for the small animals.
  • The baby lions and cheetahs love soccer balls, but they only last one or two plays then they are punctured :-( hence the heavy duty balls, obtainable from vets or specialist pet shops.

We thank everyone for any donation and remember we value your support!
